Frequently Asked Questions
Designed by developers for developers ApyHub is a platform that is used for the discovery and consumption of software utility services (Apy’s) with the ultimate goal of building leaner applications, faster.
ApyHub is a platform designed for developers who are looking for ways to improve their productivity and their applications. We built ApyHub primarily for individual freelance developers but also for development teams within startups as well as larger organizations.
Each Apy is a (relatively) small service utility that provides a functionality that can be incorporated in a wide range of software applications. These utility services can vary from data projection, file manipulation, standard lists, data validation etc. We encourage you to have a look and explore our full list of utility services.
Yes. Creating an ApyHub account is 100% free. You can then start using ApyHub utility services in the free plan and upgrade only once your needs grow. Have a look at our subscription plans below.
All Apy utility services are built and curated by the ApyHub team.
We spend most of our time researching and building new utility services. We do our best to publish new utility services every month.
Good news for all devops folks out there: The ApyHub services are all built, maintained and operated by ApyHub, an EU technology company. ApyHub B.V. is located in the Netherlands, with primary data centers in the European Union, Asia Pacific and other regions.
Security and privacy are very important for ApyHub and are treated very seriously.
We encourage you to check out our Privacy Policy for information on how we protect your data and privacy.
We are an established business in the European Union (Netherlands), so regulations apply for our business. We are GDPR compliant and always respect your privacy. If you have any questions or comments do not hesitate to contact us at

When creating an account on ApyHub, you automatically get and become the owner of your workspace (my workspace). This workspace can be private or a business. You can create as many workspaces as you want and invite others to different workspaces.
In ApyHub, a subscription plan is tied to a workspace. Different workspaces might be subscribed to different plans (e.g. workspace A being in the free plan and workspace B being in one of the paid plans.)

You simply have to pick the right plan for you based on your expected usage. Your plan then will renew automatically so you can rest assured that you can keep using and consuming Apys without any disruption. Each plan gives you the right to make a certain number of Apy atoms that can be used to make requests to the utility services.
Apy atoms provide you access to consume Apy utility services. Most Apy services require 1 atom per request. This means that you can basically make as many requests to different services in the platform depending on your Apy atom balance.
Depending on the plan you are in, a certain number of Apy atoms are awarded to you every month.

Yes. Every subscription plan gives access to the entire utility service catalog. Isn't that wonderful?
No worries, we have you covered here as well. You can always purchase extra atoms based on your expected needs. Purchased atoms can be carried to upcoming months, and come on top of the atoms that are given to you based on your subscription.
If your needs in a specific month is higher than the limit that your plan accommodates for, you have two options:
1. Change, move up to a higher plan or
2. Enable overages.
You can pre purchase these overages and use them every time your account reaches its limit.

Every subscription plan is at the workspace level, be it a private workspace or a business workspace.
As many as you want. But bear in mind that everyone in the workspace shares the same number of credits and the same subscription plan.
Unlimited.
Yes, when you are invited to a workspace, you may decline the invitation in the first place and you can also decide to accept the invitation and leave the workspace later on.
Unlimited. You can invite as many users as you want in a workspace that you are the owner of.
As an admin or an owner of a workspace you can configure the roles of the users in the workspace. More specifically:
- Admins can update the workspace settings, create & remove users, create apps, delete apps.
- Members can create apps and delete the apps that they have created in the workspace.
- Owners can do everything that admins can do. In addition, workspace owners can change the subscription plan.
There are options for everyone. Some plans include one call per second. In the more advanced plans, we allow for more calls. Unlimited custom plans are available upon request.
You can always start with a free plan. You can then move to the next plan when your needs and your application (s) grow.
We are doing our best to ensure that the documentation accompanying an Apy service is as comprehensive as possible. The service documentation will provide info around the steps required to connect to the service.
There are two different options for making a request to a software utility service.
The service token is your unique identifier that needs to be provided each time you make a new request. If the token is absent or invalid you'll get an "unauthorized" response.
All your tokens (and basic authentication keys) are available at the workspace settings page.
