Convert Video File to GIF API

What it does

Video to GIF turns an uploaded video into an animated GIF. Send a file in the request body and get a GIF back as binary output.

Use it when you need a lightweight preview, a shareable motion snippet, or an embed-friendly animation from a larger video clip. The endpoint accepts one input: body.file, a binary video file up to 100 MB.

The response is the generated GIF itself, returned as binary data. That makes it easy to pipe the result into storage, a download response, or a media workflow without parsing extra metadata.

Build video preview generation, social sharing utilities, product walkthrough snippets, or upload processing flows where a short animated asset is more useful than the original video.
