Remove Silence from Audio API

What it does

Audio Silence Remover takes an audio file, removes sections that fall below a silence threshold, and returns the trimmed audio as a binary file. Send a file up to 30 MB, and you can also tune how aggressively silence is detected with thresholdDb and how long a quiet segment must last before it gets removed with minDurationSeconds.

Use it when you need to shorten spoken-word recordings, clean up interviews, or cut dead air from voice notes before playback or further processing. The response is the processed audio itself, so it fits naturally into editing pipelines, media automation, or upload workflows where you want a ready-to-use result without parsing intermediate metadata.

Audio Silence Remover is a good fit for apps that batch-process user uploads, prepare audio for transcription, or generate tighter previews from long recordings. It keeps the interface simple: one input file, optional silence settings, one binary output.
